Recently I was asked by one of our trainers, “Why did you set up the contest for the Institutes?” Now while there are several reasons, one concerns the relationship between collaboration and leadership. The matter of the fact is that collaboration doesn’t happen without leadership. It may not be formal leadership, but for people to come together, catch a vision together, communicate together so that they learn and decide together— there has to be leaders. So, collaboration ultimately requires leadership. Knowing that, I figured that one way to stimulate leadership and trigger leadership to arise at the local level in Neuro-Semantics in all of the countries is to set up a context where collaboration was required, hence the contest.
