On Day 3 of unleashing leadership, we can really see the structure of the training comes together. If you recall, Day 1 denominalised ‘leadership’ and turned it into a process so was more of about really understanding what leadership is, and the process of good leadership over bad leadership. On Day 2 we got more personal. Individual strengths and competencies were examined, blocks and blind spots exposed and dealt with. But now on Day 3, the understandings and personal competencies are directed outwards, towards creating or directing a self-actualising company or organisation. There are several aspect necessary for this.

Firstly collaboration.

No one is an island; we need to work together and if this fundamental idea fails, the wheels fall off the whole wagon! Leaders and managers have to work as a team. And teamwork is necessary at every level of the company.

Second, the culture of the organisation has to be right. If there’s in-fighting, back-stabbing, lack of trust, etc. the organisation will hemorrage. Happy, supported, trusted staff need to feel safe, be empowered, and given the ability to contribute.
