Over the years I have met a great many NLP Trainers and upon getting to know them, discovered to my chagrin that they were not good team players. I thought all of that would change once we launched Neuro-Semantics. But no. Again, over the years I have met a good many Trainers and Meta-Coaches who were not “good team players.” Yet the funny thing about that is that most of them do not know that! Almost every one of them thought they were collaborative. At least that is what they told people around them and my guess is that that is what they think about themselves.

Obviously what they meant by “collaborative,” and what I mean by that term, was not the same. I know that because with each of them, when I said that “to be collaborative means to be a good team player,” all of them said that they “didn’t see it that way.” And indeed they were not good team players. And while they didn’t even pretend about that, they still wanted to be seen as collaborative and as collaborative leaders! Well, sorry, it doesn’t work that way.
