AND YOU THINK YOU HAD PERFORMANCE PRESSURE?

I watched American Idol recently. I watched the program after the hundreds of people they had invited to Hollywood had been taken down to the last 24 —it was the program that they would reduce the 24 to the final 12. So half of them would go home! In the two hour program, 11 of them would be eliminated. So they had everybody perform and then the “votes” from the audience, an audience of 33 million would determine the top 8.
After they pulled out the top 8, each of the three judges chose one more person, that gave them 11, and then they chose 3 more to immediately perform and one of them chosen to make up the final 12. Now when I say “immediately perform,” I mean immediately. Within 10 second of being chosen, of the person’s name being called— the person had to step down from the bleachers and in stepping forward, they were handed a microphone and then asked by Brian Seacrest, “What song will you be performing?” upon a couple more seconds, Brian would cue — Go for it.
