BENEFITING FROM INTERVIEWS

One of the practical and powerful learning encounters I could recall was the interview that Michael Hall did with BJ Radomski. It happened in the Hong Kong Station of the 2016 Neuro- Semantics Trainers Training. I did not just learn from the interview with BJ whom Michael elevated as a model trainer. I also saw that the interview method itself enriched the design and delivery of the training.
Since then, I have integrated the interview method as a key element of my training programs whether online or onsite, whenever and wherever it is applicable and value-adding. I realized the values of interviewing as a design differentiator, learning integrator and validator, and skill accelerator. The benefits I gain from integrating interviews apply both to my company, to the learning program, to the participants, and to me as a trainer.
