DESIGNING PRESENTATIONS SYSTEMATICALLY

For the past three years I have gotten into a rhythm of designing at least one new presentation per month. In fact, for the past five months I have been designing two to three new presentations per month which has greatly supported (and been supported by) my system for designing presentations more efficiently and effectively.
Do you have a system for putting presentations together? How efficient are you in designing new presentations? Do you have systems for improving your systems?
While I want to explain to you a little about my current system, I want to be clear that my present system for designing presentations is far from optimized. Much more important than the content of my system is the idea of having a structure/process of systematizing this process that works for you.
The first benefit of having a system in place is that it makes ‘getting started’ much more efficient. I typically design my presentations in my presentation software so to get started all I do is make a copy of a recent presentation. This is how I always begin and it helps to put aside overthinking or procrastination. Just make a copy and I am started.
