Finding Inner Peace in Chaos

The world feels chaotic right now. Last February 27, I woke up to news that the US and Israel have launched a military operation in Iran. Each day since then, there’s been a barrage of news on explosions, death, threats on all sides. While I live half a world I away, I’ve been filled with stress and anxiety. I wake up every day to fear of what I might see on the news. I have many friends in the regions affected, and I’ve been worried about them. I’ve been watching and hearing news of people who have been injured and killed, and it impacts me profoundly. Every day, another country seems to be adding to the list of those involved. In my country, oil prices have shot up by almost 35%, threatening to increase the already high cost of living. Food supply is said to be uncertain if this conflict continues for a few more months. There doesn’t seem to be ending in sight, with both sides getting allies and promising they’re in it for the long haul.
