Sandra wrote an excellent trainer's reflection recently on preparation through framing; using perceptual flexibility to consider your content and framing and sequencing using the 4MAT system. I would like to continue the subject by diving a little deeper into how to refine the content so that you communicate key points with succinctness and elegance.

Once you have framed and sequenced your subject matter, being able to communicate it in a straightforward, logical and common-sense way will enable your students to easily comprehend ideas. At NSTT one of the important benchmarked skills relating to teaching the topic/information (as opposed to the relational aspects of connecting to your audience, group rapport, eye contact, smiles, etc.) is about making clear ‘key points’ throughout your presentation. Key points are the key understandings or learnings that your students take away, therefore your ability to make clear key points is essential in your training delivery.
