NEW FORMAT FOR DANCING WITH DRAGONS
For several years I have been frustrated with the complexity of the Dancing with Dragons pattern in APG. For years also, I have been attempting to simplify it. Since writing Dragon Slaying in 1996, there have actually been many simplifications. Finally about a year ago after conversations and feedback from highly trained Neuro-Semanticists I confessed, “Yes, this is a complex pattern requiring an extraordinary level of competence.”

For example, Dancing with Dragons requires that you really know the linguistic models very well so that you can catch the structure of how a person has turned his or her energies against oneself. And that means not only the Meta-Model but also the expanded Meta-Model (Communication Magic, 2001) which includes the distinctions of pseudo-terms and multi-ordinality. That’s because you never know at what level of layering states-upon-states that the person has turned their energies against them. And that is the critical piece.
