3. And the one we wish we had given!
I remember hearing once, that in a single presentation there are always three:
1. The one we planned
2. The one we actually give
3. And the one we wish we had given!
To me this means that nothing ever goes exactly to plan. And it’s true; when was the last time you ran a training that went exactly to plan—for good or bad? The closer together these three are, the better. The further apart they are… not so good!
The ability to ‘stretch and squeeze’ content and/or time is something I’ve learned the importance of over the years. As trainers, we must be able to stretch the minutes and content without going off topic or looking flustered.
