After the Unleashing Leadership training in Hong Kong, Andrew Parkinson, one of our newly certified Neuro-Semantic Trainers in Hong Kong, asked if I had anything written about the levels of leading. I had not. So I said I would write a description of the levels. My thanks to Andrew for suggesting this!

As there are levels in just about everything (or so it seems), so there are levels in leading/relating. That is, when you lead, you are relating. And as you relate to people, you have the basics for leading. In the training manual of Unleashing Leadership Self-Actualization Workshop (the fourth workshop in Self-Actualization), I have a diagram of five levels of leading-and-following. These range from resistance all the way up to the highest level—engagement.
