As I was watching and listening to several people as they spoke recently at the Graduation of Meta-Coaches, I became mostly aware of not of their message but of NSTT.
As I was watching and listening to several people as they spoke recently at the Graduation of Meta-Coaches, I became mostly aware of not of their message but of NSTT. Watching them violate so many of the basic principles of speaking, the drills that Colin invents and leads came to mind. Suddenly a short movie ran in my mind of putting this person and then that person through a training drill to get them to stop their irritating and annoying habits! What I have heard this year time and time again reminded me that I need to spend some time with our Assist Teams to enable them to stand up and address an audience and speak succinctly, directly, and professionally. My next step is to first write a page in the training manual for the Assist Team to prepare them for speaking to a group.
