About a Mis-Naming

 

There’s something that I know today regarding something I did in 2002 that I think I need to correct.  It was in that year that I put together the Meta-Coaching System.  That is, along with the three ‘expert’ coaches that I had modeled in 2001, I really thought that we could transfer what they knew and their skills into new coaches and turn loose a whole set of new coaches who could replicate what Graham, Michelle, and Cheryl could do.

 

Boy, was I mistaken!  My problem?  I was too optimistic and too naive.  I was also too inexperienced with the last stage of modeling—the transfer of the ‘experts’ expertise.  And because I was undoubtedly too caught up with the idea of modeling, I did not know at that time all that would be involved in the transference of expertise.
