DON’T TEACH NLP EXPERIENTIALIZE IT!
NLP, unlike most of the academic disciplines, should not be taught.
NLP, unlike most of the academic disciplines, should not be taught. Teach NLP and, yes, people will become highly informed about it, but that creates a significant problem. Because people will then “know about NLP, they will confuse that with knowing NLP.” There’s a difference. The developments from Alfred Korzybski, neuro-linguistics and neuro-semantics and the fields of NLP and Neuro-Semantics which grew out of it, are experientially practical. Neuro-linguistics differs from the academic study of grammar. It’s not about grammar. It’s about how language affects neurology and therefore one’s states of mind, body, and emotions. It’s about how language, the linguistics that you use in thinking and speaking, and the meanings that are conveyed in the linguistics, actually programs you to feel and act as you do.
