EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING

Earlier this year I wrote the article on Neurons (Neurons #24) about Selling NLP. The article was titled, Selling NLP and its Evolution. That’s because I reviewed the history of how NLP has been sold over the years and the changes that have been occurring in recent years. The point was (and is) that teaching content information, especially the content information of NLP, and for that matter, Neuro-Semantics, is becoming less and less sellable. That is true because the content information is so readily available in books, videos, internet, etc. What then should we do as trainers?
In that article I recommended an idea: Focus on experience. Sell the experiences that we can give people. Later I wrote two follow up articles to this egroup, Framers #33: Training as Facilitating Experience. Framers #34: Turning Your Training in Transformative Experiences.
The point in all of them was singular— we need to move beyond the first outcome of providing the basic information about NLP to the outcome-after-that-outcome. So, what is the meta- outcome? Why do you train NLP or Meta-Coaching, or some aspect of the NLP or Neuro- Semantic models?
