In Trainers Reflection #25, I posed the question, “Can You Train an ‘O’ Ring?” In that reflection I was highlighting the necessity for excellent platform skills as a trainer — voice, audience engagement, use of semantic space, etc. because as I mentioned I’ve seen lots of trainers who know the content, but don’t have the delivery skills that are necessary to captivate an audience and instil the learning.

In this reflection I’m going to speak to the other side though; because as Trainers it is important to know your content material. You must have accurate and deep content knowledge. As Neuro- Semantic NLP Trainers that means having as full and accurate knowledge of NLP and Neuro- Semantics as is possible.

Two things come to mind here for me; firstly in such an in-depth and ever evolving field like Neuro- Semantic NLP (and all of the associated psychologies that contribute to it) I’ll never know it all and there will always be those that know a lot more than me. For me, this keeps me humble, keeps me curious and keeps me learning.
