I’M NOW GLAD I DID IT
If it hadn’t been for this locked-down year, I would never have written the book on Resilience.
If it hadn’t been for this locked-down year, I would never have written the book on Resilience. I wasn’t even thinking about it and had no plans for it— but then boredom kept knocking on my door. Having completed every writing plan I had for this year and next, and sitting around twirling my thumbs, I finally answered the door and made a decision, “What the heck, I’ll write about resilience. Several trainers had asked me to do that anyway.” So I did.
Now while the book, Resilience: Being the Phoenix, will offer you the meta-strategy for the complex state of resilience, it actually offers a lot more. That was intentional. For example, as a Trainer, you will learn the original context in which the Meta- States Model arose and both why and how it emerged. There I tell the story of trying to work out the linear strategy of resilience and then discovering that it did not work. It did not tell the whole story. The NLP strategy model could not explain all of the variables that go into resilience or how they inter-relate with each other.
