After creating the genius pattern for that special state of flow, of being in the zone, of being in a state of peak experience, and at one’s optimal best— there are two patterns to do some “clean up” work.
After creating the genius pattern for that special state of flow, of being in the zone, of being in a state of peak experience, and at one’s optimal best— there are two patterns to do some “clean up” work. First we use the Excuse Blow-Out Pattern to take care of any wimpy excuses that you may allow to get in the way. That enables you to blow-out those excuses and not excuse yourself from excellence. After that, we use the Spinning Icons Pattern. This pattern was developed by two NLP Trainers —Nelson Zink and Joe Munshaw. They wrote it up first in NLP World (Nov. 1996) and described their thinking behind it and how to use non-propositional generalizing to help escape a seeming insolvable conflict between two good and legitimate parts of yourself.
