“Mind-body what?!” the HR Director replied.

In the spirit of the 30*30 Fitness Month in Dubai, I had planned a series of training sessions for one of the companies I provide training for under the ‘Mind-Body Connection to Performance’ theme. I’ve been working with them for six months and truly impressed by how employees were using phrases like, “The map is not the territory” and “I wasn’t in the best state,” in their conversations with me and one another. When you train corporate clients, you know this is a foreign language to them, yet overtime, they start using this language and implementing it in their lives. The HR Director, being new to the company, gave me a confused look when we met to discuss the month’s “Mind-Body” training theme.

As NS Trainers we often face this unique challenge—the power and depth of Neuro-Semantics can be intimidating or simply misunderstood by corporate managers and HR heads who are accustomed to more traditional training models. When we introduce concepts like integrating mind and body (states) to improve performance, we're challenging their existing mental models of how human performance works.
