PRINCIPLES OF PROBLEM-SOLVING
As you well know, every discipline is governed by principles. In your ACMC manual there are several pages of the basic principles of coaching. In the NSTT manual, we have several pages of the principles that govern training and presentations. In other manuals we have the governing principles for inside-out wealth, selling, persuasion, well-being and fitness, unleashing potentials, resilience, learning, thinking, and on and on.
Now while these principles do indeed govern the given experience, for most people they are invisible. In fact, they are so invisible, that they do not know them, they are also completely unaware of them. This creates a tremendous problem in terms of learning and becoming masterful at any given skill. If you don't know the guiding principles, you do not know the frames and frameworks that determine success in a field. That's what makes principles so important.
