This big shift in thinking creates a thinking pattern that seems counter-intuitive and because of that, it take most leaders and executives a long time to come around to this way of thinking.
I first encountered this counter-intuitive thinking shift when I dived into the field of wealth creation and studied it so I could model that. Martha Sinetar expressed this thinking pattern best when she chose the title of her book, “Do What You Love and the Money will Follow.” Now three decades ago when I first read that title, even before I opened the book and read anything, I just knew that it could not be right. “That’s not right; it’s just not that simple” was my first thought. Years later, after an intense and indepth study of the subject, my thinking shifted. “Actually, that statement is a nice summary of the way wealth is created.
