THE ART OF BEING PROFESSIONAL AS A TRAINER
Are you a professional trainer?
Are you a professional trainer? Are you professional as a trainer? Those are two very different questions and yet both in the same area. Now to combine them: Would you like to be a professional trainer and professional in that role?
Now “being professional in the way we conduct ourselves” is a central part of the vision of Neuro-Semantics and it has been since the day that Bob and I trademarked Neuro-Semantics and wrote the first vision statement for the website. Given that, what does it mean to be professional?
Professional means first and foremost that you treat what you do as a trainer as a profession and as a profession. And as a legitimate profession this entails having a foundational knowledge base and understanding of the subject matter and from that the set of practices which characterizes someone who has made Training their occupation. In practical terms that means for almost every profession that you do such things as the following:
• Give good return on value: deliver the value that customers and clients pay for.
