I’m sure you know how they start don’t you? “Once upon a time there was…” This is how all my early childhood stories began and I recall having an intriguing and mind absorbing story kept me wide-eyed and imaginatively engaged when it was meant to have put me to sleep, instead it set my mind off on wonderful journeys of possibilities and adventure.

What about you? Have you ever been caught up in a well told story, a story that gave you a different perspective, an insight of what could be possible? Storytelling has been used since the very earliest of times to educate, endear and entertain. Fire side story telling by our distant ancestors were used to pass on knowledge, explain the mythical origins of the stars and heroic acts of war.

I’ve had the pleasure of watching the eyes of children light up as they are told it’s story time and the intrigue as adults when invited to share a story of how they overcome adversity in their lives. The power and effectiveness of storytelling can not be ignored. Certainly not if you wish to be an exceptional Neuro-Semantic trainer.
