If you’ve read the title above and thought, “Is this article about trainers of coaches?,” then think again. This article is for all trainers, training all kinds of different participants, and what I meant by “Coach” Trainer is actually an identity. The idea came to me through observing several of my past training courses and workshops from a meta-perspective. I asked myself one question: “What is the one element of success that makes my training courses a one-of-a kind experience for my participants?” To answer this question, I followed a trail of exploration questions that led me to several conclusions:

1) What really makes my training experience unique is the differentiated attention I give each of my participants according to their different needs?

2) The type of questions I throw back at my participants makes all the difference in the world to their learning retention.

3) The state I put my participants into when delivering critical, potentially life-changing information dictates the amount of information assimilation and actual transformation that occurs at their side.
