THE SPIRIT OF NEURO-SEMANTICS

This last week we revoked the license of one of our trainers. This was the first time we did this in a pretty long time. And as always, I find it a sad thing to do. And, of course, it is the last step in what is typically a long process. The amazing thing is that it is almost always the same pattern that leads to the removing of a license and that is a pattern driven by scarcity. And that scarcity then shows up in such behaviors as being inappropriately competitive, the lacking of cooperation, the lacking of collaboration, and an anti-community attitude, one of “give me, give me, give me; what’s in it for me?”

From the beginning, the Neuro-Semantic Vision has been a vision seeking to lift NLP to a higher level ethically and professionally by moving away from the sick and toxic NLP attitude of scarcity and competition. This is the attitude that fights over intellectual property, that puts each other down, that refuses to recognize or acknowledge the contributions of others, that competes against each other, that over-promises and under-delivers, and that presents false representations of what NLP is and what it can do.
