This reflection may step slightly outside of the trainer’s domain, but I'll offer the link that being educated as trainers and knowing about your audience are an important part of being a Neuro- Semantic trainer.
This reflection may step slightly outside of the trainer’s domain, but I'll offer the link that being educated as trainers and knowing about your audience are an important part of being a Neuro- Semantic trainer. I might further add that as a Neuro-Semantic trainer you need to know the underlying assumptions of what exactly you are teaching so you can teach it accurately.
In the Coaches e-list (Morpheus #22, May 31, 2023), Michael makes the important distinction between ‘brain’ and ‘mind’, and further notes that there is a field in philosophy— Philosophy of Mind, which deals with what exactly mind ‘is’. Michael further states a point of view in Neurons (#48, 2024) that, “The mind, based in the brain and completely dependent on the brain, arises as an emergent property from the brain”.
I've been immersed in philosophy for almost five years and am doing a Masters in philosophy of mind, focusing on consciousness in particular. So, in view of Michael's comments I thought I'd offer a brief overview of some of the different theories of mind within philosophy.
