If you are like most NLP Trainers, and even Neuro-Semantic Trainers, training the Meta-Model is the most challenging of all of the models that we train. Is that true for you? In the field of NLP, the great majority of trainers reduce that training to just a brief mentioning that there is such a thing as the Meta-Model, that there are three modeling processes (deletion, generalization, and distortion), and stating that there is a list of a dozen distinctions in the model. And that’s it.

I have even come across NLP trainers who entirely skipped training the Meta-Model. When I asked why they said that they didn’t think it was all that important or they said that it was really dry material and most people don’t want to learn grammar. Talk about a lack of understanding!
