Recently several people asked me about my attitude when setting up and running patterns in my trainings. A few noted that I seemed to really enjoy that part of the training and wondered why. They also wanted to know why I called the running of patterns a “laboratory” and “experiment.” I answered that when I train and when I provide participants “patterns” I think of myself as an experimenter. I’d invite you to do the same. After all, ultimately that’s what the patterns that you run in your trainings is designed to do with people, isn’t it? Isn’t it to give them an experience with which to experiment with an aspect of their life. So, whether we are talking about the Swish Pattern, the Movie-Rewind, the Meta-Stating Emotions, Intentionality, or the Accessing Your Personal Genius State— imagine the effect the experiment frame will have on your participants and on you.
