TRAINING THE META-MODEL We Have To Do Better!

Here’s something that I hope that you know—training the Meta-Model of Language is the most fundamental aspect of NLP. It is the NLP Communication Model. Historically, it was the first model that was created and with it, everything else was created from it. Think about that! “Everything in NLP was created using the Meta-Model.” That’s what I heard Richard Bandler say one day. Yet when I heard that, I could not make sense of it. I did not know how that was true so I determined to find out. Thereafter I began a deep and extensive study of the Meta-Model that completely changed how I thought about NLP. It incredibly raised my view of Neuro-Linguistic Programming.

It was the Meta-Model and the Strategy Model that then excited me to study resilience. It provided me the tools for modeling, for discovering Meta-States, for recognizing that mastery is in the details, and much more. Later, with Richard Bandler’s encouragement, I studied the history of the Meta- Model and how it evolved over the years. That led to Communication Magic.
