We know that one way to add to the engagement factor of your trainings is by using props and/or incorporating games and activities. I’d like to offer some ideas about why and how I use these things. But first, an observation. I’ve seen some trainers use props and activities for some very vague reasons, such as; “That’s what I was told to do at trainers training.” Don’t be this trainer

Props and activities have to be used for a reason. So make them relevant— what do you want to achieve and why? Is it to enhance learning/demonstrate/consolidate an idea a point/idea or body/brain break state? So, for me, there are three broad reasons I include props and activities or games:
