Someone recently asked me about “heart.” The question that began the exploration was: “Where do you put ‘heart’ in Neuro-Semantics?” Now over the years while I have been a slow learner about most things, but I have learned to slow down my responses and ask questions about questions. So I did. “What do you mean by the word ‘heart?’” I asked.

“Well, you know, when a person’s heart is right. That’s what I mean. Where does that fit into Neuro-Semantics?”

That led to another question: “So are you speaking about a person’s attitude? Or perhaps the person’s conscience? Or perhaps the person’s integrity? Or morality?”

“Well, I guess a person’s attitude and integrity.”

Now given that, what would you answer? Where do we put “heart” in Neuro-Semantics? I said, “In intentionality.” Later a trainer asked me about that. He asked why and how would I put it in the Intention matrix? When I checked with him, he really didn’t know. Given that, I thought I’d write about it for this Trainers’ Group.
