WHILE YOU TRAIN, META-TRAIN
As a Neuro-Semantic trainer, you know a lot meta.
As a Neuro-Semantic trainer, you know a lot meta. You know about meta-programs, meta-states, meta-position, meta-learning, meta-coaching, meta-therapy, and on and on. You also know about the basic process of going meta. This is what Bateson called “the meta function” and what he used to create his levels of learning which are simultaneously the levels of change. It was the meta function that he and his colleagues discovered in schizophrenics that was missing—because they could not go meta to the context they were in, they lived in a double-bind situation where mixed messages and incongruent messages were being sent and they couldn’t figure them out. So they split themselves.
