AS WE TRAIN, SO WE FRAME
Frames come in all shapes and sizes.
Frames come in all shapes and sizes. We find them in sentences, quotes and in Neuro-Semantics we find them in Mind-Lines and presuppositions. When we attend ACMC we practice framing as a skill to frame a coaching conversation. At NSTT we learnt the 4Mat model as a great model for framing our presentations. This model is ideal to introduce presentation topics and is also a great tool to run meetings. This is where my love for framing began.
As trainers, we begin by framing the training experience for participants. Then we frame many things during the training. We pre-frame, de-frame and re-frame points, concepts, models, patterns, etc. I discovered the magic of framing when I learnt that I am able to change the entire training experience, simply by the way I frame the ‘what, why, how and what if’, at the start of the training. It can change the entire way participants frame their own participation, expectations and experience of the training.
