DESIGN YOUR TRAININGS INTENTIONALLY
Have you ever attempted to design a training, got so excited about it, then found yourself stuck with the details?
Have you ever attempted to design a training, got so excited about it, then found yourself stuck with the details? This has been my experience time and again when I started doing training years ago. My clients would tell me what they wanted to get trained on, and would give me a free hand on how to go about it. I’d be so pumped up to make the training memorable and impactful. Then as soon as I get on my laptop, I’ll be stumped. Where do I begin?
Many times, the struggle I have is not that I don’t have enough to share, but I have too much I want to share! Sharing too much information could be overwhelming, and the participants might experience information overload and not know what to do with it. Too little information on the other hand could be boring, a waste of time, and perceived as of little value. Whenever I think of designing the training, I start with the two main questions: “What do they want to move away from?” and “What do they want to move towards?”
