If the future of trainings will increasingly involve experiences and experiential learning (Framers #58, Nov. 5), then what will that require of you? How will you have to make changes or shifts in your trainings so that you can give people the kind and high quality of experiences that will pay big bucks for?
I began thinking about that some years ago when I found myself in countries where “being on time” was not a cultural value (e.g., Mexico, Egypt, Brazil, etc.). Having announced that the training began at 9 am and at 9 am there were only 3 people or 7 people, my decision to always start on time, created a problem. Usually the beginning of any training, or even of any day of a training, is when you start with the frames that are going to establish the theme of the day or set up for ways that you will prime the subject (or at least I do).
