As you well-know from your training, skills can not only deteriorate but over time, you can actually slow begin deviating from a skill and then, eventually you can be practicing what you think is a training or presentation skill absolutely wrong. It’s a blind spot we all have and have to fight against. Many of the trainers who re-visit NSTT have noted this and have been so thankful that they received the sensory-based feedback to re-tighten the competency.
The same is true of the content information about NLP, Meta-States, APG, and other aspects of Neuro-Semantics. Years after you first heard or read many of the basic formulations, you can slowly deviate just a bit here and then a bit there so that in the end, you actually are presenting something in an erroneous way. Trainers who have returned and re-learned the APG patterns when we do The Psychology of APG have regularly shared that insight. “Oopps, I’ve been doing it wrong!” “No wonder I wasn’t getting the results that I used to get.”
