MEMORIZING AS A TRAINING TOOL

Omar Salom and I had a fascinating conversation yesterday morning in the airport at Mexico City. Sitting at 5 am at Starbucks, we talked about the previous 5 days of Meta-Coach training and the graduation of 26 more Meta-Coaches, of going over the 1,000 mark (1023 to be specific), and many of the aspects of co-training a competency based training like Meta-Coaching. Then we talked about memorizing.
Well, let me correct myself. Omar brought up that subject as he asked me about it. Now to explain that, I have to say a few words about “the test” that we now run on Day 8 at 2 pm in the afternoon, just prior to all of the licensing requirements and contracts that we do in Meta-Coaching for the credentialing. I began running the test in 2009 and I think we have done it six or seven times. The test consists of key components of Neuro-Semantics and Meta-Coaching. I put it together by asking myself the question: “What are the key components that a Meta-Coach should know by memory, should know so well that it should be on the tip of his or her tongue?”
