Day 2 of APG begins several patterns which are designed to clear the path for the genius state. It does that by meta-stating those emotional states that are tabooed and therefore troubling. What makes an emotion “troubling?” Yes, of course we do not like it. Yet it is more than that. We don’t permit it. And that’s because we have given a particular emotion some negative meanings. In this way we have tabooed it so that it is forbidden in our experience. This sets a prohibition frame in one’s mind and by it we have turned out energies against ourselves.

To set up this pattern, describe how we understand an “emotion” in NLP and Neuro-Semantics. In NLP, an emotion differs from a feeling in that feelings are kinesthetic sensations. To have an emotion, you have to have a kinesthetic sensation plus a cognitive understanding, definition, and meaning. That’s the basic NLP understanding. “Feelings” are not emotions, they are the kinesthetic component of an emotion.
