After writing The 5 Minute Manager, I began writing a follow-up book, one that would go into much more depth regarding the structure of problem-solving.  I wrote the first book as a teaser into the idea that some problems can be solved quickly--- in 5 to 10 minutes.

But not all problems, some problems are much more convoluted and complex.  In The 5 Minute Manager I presented 3 levels of problems: Direct, Layered, and Assumption (pages 111-112).  That means that most layered problems and assumptive problems are going to require a deeper dive.

I have now finished the second book, The 5 Minute Manager’s Deep Dive or Advanced Problem Solving Skills.   It is a much more substantial work, 270 pages over 25 chapters.
