On the surface, coaching looks so simple. Viewed from the outside, people are easily tricked into thinking that it is ‘just talking,’ and anyone could do that. “What’s the big deal?” When you observe a coach coaching a client, all you are watching is a conversation. Often when people watching that, think immediately think, “How hard could that be? Anyone can do that! I could do that! What’s to it but opening your mouth and letting words rip, right?” But of course, they are not only wrong, they are completely wrong.
