THE POINT OF FAILURE

THE BEGINNING OF LEARNING

“Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything heroic.”

Albert Einstein

Who is the person who knows how to accelerate his learning so that he can quickly understand new information and integrate it into his life? Who is the person who can move through the learning stages turning every mistake and error into a learning stepping stone?

It is the person who has a great relationship with mistakes. It is the person who has no fear of making a mistake and who actually has a high tolerance for mistakes. This is the person who thinks experimentally— my actions are experiments. If something doesn’t work, I want to know why and how to do it so it does work. An error activates my passion for learning and getting better. This is the person who focuses on discovering things and never beating oneself up for making a mistake. She knows that by welcoming mistakes, she has a doorway to being more effective and more creative.
