When Someone Offers to Sponsor You If you are good, if you can deliver a training with quality, with inspiration, with skill-building exercises, and if you can connect with people— the time will come when you will be invited to go to a training center to deliver a training. The time will come when someone will want to sponsor you as a visiting trainer. But when that day comes, be prepared. Be prepared to ask lots of searching questions and be prepared to say no.

Obviously, it is exciting and delightful to be invited to come in to deliver a training. But if you want to preserve your reputation and not get seduced into doing something that you could regret later on, you really need to be ready for that invitation. The fact is, not every invitation is a real invitation. Not every invitation would be a smart choice for you. Not every invitation would support you or others in the long-run.
