THAT TRAINING WAS BORING!
Is your training boring?
Is your training boring? If you don’t know that’s ok. What I've found over the years is that my participants or audience, as yours may do, will help with answering that question even when they are trying to be polite. Their answers come in many forms both in the training room and out. In the training room; they start to show signs of what Colin Cox calls "Tego" (Their Eyes Glaze Over), they nod off or worse still go to sleep, they can’t wait and in fact celebrate the arrival of the tea and lunch breaks, they have little or no interest when it comes to participating in conversations that you attempt to facilitate, or their feedback forms explicitly inform you. Outside of your training room; they remember the negative experience and will likely tell their friends about it, and then background you forever.
