We have a skill in the NSTT Training Manual for Unpacking. This is truly an advanced skill because it is a modeling skill that enables participants to begin to “see” what is typically invisible— the structure of an experience. There are several people among the Neuro-Semantic Trainers who are highly skilled at unpacking. They either have a natural ability to see and speak to structure or they have developed that ability.

Prior to Unpacking, however, is another skill — The Debrief. I do not yet have this skill in the NSTT training manual, but it will be going put into the manual. The debrief is what you do, as a trainer, after you demonstrate a pattern or process. The debrief is what you also do after you have sent participants away to practice something and give them some hands-on experience with something. Then when they return the debrief enables you to discover what happened, what they learned, and to ask, Where to from here?
