TO BE COLLABORATIVE, IS TO BE A GOOD TEAM PLAYER

Within the last six months I have dealt with at least 3 trainers who were not “good team players.” Yet none of them knew that! They actually thought they were collaborative. At least that is what they told people around them and what I think they thought about themselves. Yet what they meant by collaborative and what I mean by that term were not the same. With all of them,) when I said that “to be collaborative means to be a good team player” all of them said that they “didn’t see it that way.” And they were not good team players. Yet while they didn’t even pretend that, they still wanted to be seen as collaborative and as collaborative leaders! Well, sorry, it doesn’t work that way.
