WANT A DEEP DIVE INTO COACHING?
In 2024 I collected 26 transcripts of coaching sessions that I can conducted over the preceding years. My thinking was that I would take the transcripts and write comments about what I was thinking and doing as I was responding. I figured that I would identify when I was using any of the coaching skills from acknowledging, challenging, testing, clarifying, framing, etc. I also figured that I would identify as best as I could what I was thinking which led to the use of a given skill or response.
The result was the book, A Deep Dive into Meta-Coaching (2024) which is now a PDF file on ‘The Shop’ at www.neurosemantics.com (by the way, it is only a PDF file and not a physical book). I recently went over the content of that 270 page book, and realized that the text represents the approach I had been taking in problem-solving as well. Sometime after putting that book together, I began planning for The Problem-Solving Conversation with managers which eventually led to The 5 Minute Manager training and books.
