THE USE OF SEMANTIC SPACE

During NSTT we speak about the importance of preparing the room where you are going to deliver a training or presentation. Although we really learn the lesson when something from the space is not really working. My intention with this reflection is to highlight the relevance of this kind of preparation.

Two weeks ago I was co-training with my collegue and partner Javier Vargas in Querétaro, México a course designed to eradicate bullying in schools. We were hired to run this training for two different groups of 45 teachers each, from all grades of a school, one group on Tuesday and the next one on Wednesday.

So, there we were, starting that training with the first group in an auditorium for three thousand people, and the seating arrangement was with tables and it was in a shape of a half-circle. So with 45 teachers it was a very big half-circle in a very big room and they were so far way from us.
