TRAINING SKILLS ARE NOT ENOUGH
How good are your business skills?
How good are your business skills? This is a question I had to ask myself many times, when I decided to start my own Training Business. I had a clear vision, mission and even a detailed business plan, including my Matrix Business plan. But nothing quite prepared me until I faced the ‘real world’ out there. I thought that with my experience of holding an executive position, negotiating and signing agreements with global business leaders, running the sales and marketing department of a billion-dollar business and leading a team of over 400 people, it would be a challenge I would easily manage. Boy was I wrong! Running your own business is a whole different game and requires a different set of skills, a different kind of thinking and a different level of courage and resilience.
